Meghan Markle Partners with Lemonada Media for New Podcasting Venture

Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, is set to embark on a new podcasting venture with Lemonada Media, marking a significant shift since her departure from her previous partnership with Spotify less than a year ago.

Announced through a press release on Tuesday, Meghan’s new podcast will join Lemonada’s lineup, alongside the streaming of “Archetypes,” a podcast series previously debuted on Spotify in 2022. Lemonada Media will handle ad sales and distribution for both projects under this creative collaboration.

While details about Meghan’s upcoming podcast remain scarce, Lemonada’s CEO and co-founder, Jessica Cordova Kramer, expressed excitement about working with Meghan, emphasizing her exceptional talent as a host and creator. Lemonada’s chief creative officer and co-founder, Stephanie Wittels Wachs, echoed this sentiment, praising Meghan’s collaborative spirit and commitment to fostering compassion and community through her work.

In a statement, Meghan expressed her enthusiasm about joining Lemonada Media, highlighting the opportunity to support a female-founded company dedicated to producing thought-provoking and entertaining content. She also teased the re-release of “Archetypes” and the launch of a dynamic new podcast, both of which are currently in development.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, and a spokesperson for Archewell Productions, the company founded by Meghan and Prince Harry, declined to comment on the specifics.

Since relocating to the United States and stepping down as senior members of the royal family in 2020, Meghan and Harry have pursued various media ventures, including partnerships with Netflix and Spotify. Their multi-year collaboration with Spotify ended in June 2023, marking the conclusion of a series of projects that explored their personal experiences, relationship with the media, and decision to transition away from royal duties.
