Nollywood veteran Kanayo O. Kanayo has taken a significant step in passing the torch to the next generation by introducing his first son, Clinton Mbaise, to the movie industry.
In a recent announcement shared via his Instagram account, the veteran actor revealed that Mbaise will be joining his production company, Simpliciter Associates Productions, in a dual role as an assistant production manager and personal assistant to him.
Emphasizing the professional nature of Mbaise’s role, Kanayo sternly warned against giving preferential treatment to his son. He made it clear that Mbaise is there to work and earn his place like every other member of the production crew.
“This is Clinton Onyeze Mbaise, my first son. And he is joining us today as assistant production manager and as my personal assistant,” Kanayo stated in the video announcement. “Do not treat him like my son. It is a warning I am giving to everybody. He is here to work. He is going to earn a fee like every other person.”
Kanayo highlighted Mbaise’s academic background, revealing that he recently graduated from Babcock University with a degree in Information and Communication Technology. Additionally, Mbaise pursued studies in filmmaking and management before joining the production company.
