Usman Ododo has been officially inaugurated as the new Governor. The inauguration ceremony, held in Lokoja, was a vibrant affair, attended by notable figures including Vice President Kashim Shettima and APC Chairman, Dr. Abdulahi Ganduje. Ododo secured his role as governor with a decisive win, securing 446,237 votes, outperforming his rivals from the Social Democratic Party and the Peoples Democratic Party.
In his post-election remarks, Governor Ododo pledged to uphold and build upon the accomplishments of his predecessor, Yahaya Bello, emphasizing his commitment to the state’s unity and development. He also expressed gratitude to Bello for guiding him in governance, and honored him with the Grand Conference Silver Service Star award.
