Tragic Loss: Former Kogi State Governor’s Son Passes Away After Eid Prayers

In a heartbreaking development, Muhammed, the son of former Kogi State Governor Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, has tragically passed away earlier today following Eid prayers. Reports indicate that Muhammed collapsed at his residence in Abuja, marking a sudden and devastating loss for the family.

Muhammed’s tenure as a member of the House of Representatives from 2007 to 2011 underscores his commitment to public service and his contributions to the nation. His untimely demise has sent shockwaves through the community, leaving loved ones and associates grieving his sudden departure.

Abubakar Idris, the elder brother of the deceased, confirmed the heartbreaking news, expressing profound sadness over Muhammed’s passing. Speaking with PUNCH Online, Abubakar recounted the tragic sequence of events, revealing that Muhammed collapsed shortly after returning home from Eid prayers.

In accordance with Islamic tradition, Muhammed will be laid to rest on Wednesday at Gudu Cemetery in Abuja, as family, friends, and well-wishers gather to bid farewell to a beloved son, brother, and public servant.
