Suspected Bandits Kill Two During Ramadan Prayers in Katsina State

Tragedy struck during Ramadan prayers on Saturday in Mairuwa village, Faskari Local Government Area of Katsina State, as suspected bandits launched a deadly attack, resulting in the loss of two lives. The spokesperson for the Katsina State Police Command, Abubakar Aliyu, confirmed the incident, revealing that the assailants also kidnapped several residents during the prayers.

According to Aliyu, the suspected bandits stormed the village during Ramadan prayers, opening fire and causing chaos. Despite the quick response from security forces, two individuals tragically lost their lives during the attack. However, prompt action from the police, community watch corps, and vigilantes led to the successful rescue of all kidnapped victims.

Aliyu stated that investigations into the incident have commenced, with efforts underway to apprehend the perpetrators and bring them to justice. The attack serves as a grim reminder of the ongoing security challenges faced by communities in Katsina State and underscores the need for continued vigilance and collaboration between security agencies and local residents.
