Senator Calls for Probe into Deadly Attack in Kaduna Community, Offers Support for Victims

Senator Sunday Katung, representing Kaduna South, has called for a thorough investigation into the recent attack that claimed the lives of six individuals in the Ambe community of the Sanga Local Government Area in Kaduna State. Katung urged security agencies to diligently pursue those responsible for the attack, while also commending the community members for their bravery in apprehending one of the suspects.

During a visit to the community alongside Mr. Daniel Amos, the member representing Jema’a/Sanga Federal Constituency, Senator Katung expressed his condolences and solidarity with the affected community. He emphasized the need for security operatives to leave no stone unturned in identifying and bringing the perpetrators of the heinous attack to justice.

Katung warned individuals who collude with attackers, emphasizing that justice will eventually catch up with them regardless of how long it takes. Meanwhile, Mr. Amos offered to cover the medical expenses of the injured victims, emphasizing the importance of supporting their recovery process.

Both lawmakers pledged to advocate for the re-establishment of a military camp within the community to enhance security and provide reassurance to residents. They expressed their commitment to ensuring that the community and neighboring areas can safely return to their farms and resume normal activities.

Micah Audi, the youth leader of the community, expressed bewilderment over the attack, noting that the community had been living peacefully with their neighbors. He commended the professionalism of security operatives in the area and urged thorough investigations to ensure that all individuals involved in the attack are apprehended and brought to justice.
