Senate President Akpabio Extends Eid El Fitr Felicitations, Urges Prayers for Nigeria’s Unity

The President of the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Godswill Akpabio, has conveyed warm wishes to Muslim faithful across Nigeria and in the Diaspora as they mark the conclusion of the Ramadan fast.

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Hon. Eseme Eyiboh, and disseminated to the press on Wednesday in Uyo, the capital of Akwa Ibom state, Akpabio extended his heartfelt felicitations to the Muslim community.

He encouraged Muslims to offer prayers for the nation’s leaders, expressing confidence that through collective supplication, Nigeria will overcome its current challenges.

Akpabio emphasized the importance of continued prayers for peace, unity, and prosperity in the country, urging the Muslim faithful to uphold these values in their daily lives.

In his message, Akpabio stated: “On behalf of my family, the people of Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial District, and indeed, the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, I heartily rejoice with Muslim faithful in Nigeria as they join their counterparts in other parts of the world to celebrate Eid El Fitr.”

He extended his wishes for a peaceful and joyous celebration and invoked the blessings of the Almighty Allah to fulfill the desires of their hearts.

Acknowledging Islam as a religion of peace, Akpabio underscored the significance of sincere prayers, expressing confidence in divine intervention in response to heartfelt supplications. He urged the Muslim community to pray fervently for the nation’s leaders and for the preservation of Nigeria’s unity and harmony.

“I believe with your prayers, Nigeria will overcome its current challenges. Wherever you find yourselves, radiate the peace that Islam preaches and the love and care for the less privileged that Prophet Muhammad exemplified,” Akpabio affirmed.
