Olugbenga Olawore, a pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, who was abducted along the Lanlate-Eruwa road in Oyo State, has been released from captivity. The incident occurred at the Maya axis of the road on Thursday, with Olawore among those kidnapped.

The Oyo State Commissioner for Information, Dotun Oyelade, confirmed Olawore’s release in a statement issued in Ibadan, the state capital, on Sunday.
