Queens Park Rangers Secure Championship Survival with Dominant Victory Over Leeds

Queens Park Rangers (QPR) clinched their Championship survival in spectacular fashion with a resounding 4-0 triumph against Leeds United, a result that propelled Leicester City into the Premier League.

The Hoops delivered a commanding performance in their final home game of the season, as first-half goals from Ilias Chair and Lucas Andersen, followed by second-half headers from Lyndon Dykes and Sam Field, sealed an emphatic victory.

Despite early pressure from Leeds, QPR took the lead through a moment of brilliance from Chair, whose powerful strike deflected off Joe Rodon to beat goalkeeper Illan Meslier.

Leeds attempted to respond but were thwarted by impressive saves from QPR goalkeeper Asmir Begovic. Chair’s dynamic play continued to trouble the visitors, and Andersen doubled the lead with a superb left-footed effort.

Although Leeds rallied after the break, QPR remained resolute, with Dykes nodding in a third goal from Chair’s corner. Field then added gloss to the scoreline with a well-placed header, leaving Leeds reeling and their automatic promotion hopes in jeopardy.

QPR manager Marti Cifuentes hailed his side’s performance, attributing their success to the players’ commitment and determination. He expressed pride in their achievement and emphasized the club’s aspirations for the future.

In contrast, Leeds boss Daniel Farke conceded defeat, acknowledging QPR’s superiority on the night. Despite the setback, Farke remained optimistic about his team’s prospects in the playoff race, affirming their determination to fight until the end.
