President Tinubu Submits 2024 FCTA Budget to House of Representatives

President Bola Tinubu has presented the 2024 budget proposal for the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) to the House of Representatives for review and approval. The letter from the President, read during the plenary session on Tuesday, outlined the constitutional requirements for budget submission but did not disclose specific budget estimates.

The letter emphasized compliance with constitutional provisions, highlighting the alignment of the FCTA budget proposal with federal fiscal policies and the Renewed Hope Agenda. It underscored the inclusion of key elements from the 2024/2026 economic recovery and growth plan, as well as critical assumptions guiding the budgetary process.

President Tinubu’s communication outlined the FCTA’s priorities, focusing on enhancing healthcare services, fostering job creation, empowering youth, and boosting agricultural productivity to alleviate poverty among citizens.

Following the reading of the letter, Speaker Abbas Tajudeen directed the referral of the budget proposal to the Committee on Appropriation for thorough deliberation before its passage.
