President Tinubu Mourns the Passing of Olubadan of Ibadanland

President Bola Tinubu has extended his condolences over the demise of Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Lekan Balogun, Alli Okunmade II, who passed away at the age of 81. In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngalale, President Tinubu expressed deep sorrow upon hearing the news of the revered monarch’s passing.

Describing Oba Lekan Balogun as an exceptional king dedicated to the service of humanity, President Tinubu mourned the loss, extending heartfelt sympathies to the family of the Olubadan, the government of Oyo State, the Olubadan-in-Council, the Oyo State Traditional Council, and the people of Ibadanland and Oyo State.

Celebrating the monarch’s legacy of service, President Tinubu hailed Oba Lekan Balogun as a compassionate, courageous leader who championed peace, honesty, and unity throughout his reign. He acknowledged the invaluable wisdom and counsel the late king provided, emphasizing the enduring impact of his noble deeds on those he touched.
