President Bola Tinubu landed at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Ikeja, Lagos on Sunday, in preparation for the upcoming Eid al-Fitr celebration. He was warmly received by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, accompanied by the Secretary to the State Government, Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin, and other officials.
Upon his arrival, President Tinubu conducted an inspection of the military parade, underscoring the significance of the occasion. The Federal Government had earlier declared Tuesday and Wednesday, April 9th and 10th, 2024, as public holidays to commemorate the Eid-el-Fitr celebration. This declaration was made by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, as conveyed in a statement released by the ministry’s permanent secretary, Aishetu Ndayako.
