Oshiomhole Congratulates Okpebholo, Urges Unity Ahead of Edo Governorship Election

Former Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, extended warm congratulations to Senator Monday Okpebholo on his emergence as the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in the state, setting aside previous differences in the party’s primaries.

Oshiomhole’s congratulatory message comes after Okpebholo’s victory over Dennis Idahosa in the APC primary election. Despite initial disputes over the outcome, Oshiomhole commended Okpebholo for his dedication and commitment to the party’s core values, urging him to foster unity among co-contestants and party stakeholders.

In a statement released through his senior aide, Oshiomhole lauded Okpebholo’s victory as a reflection of party members’ belief in his leadership qualities. He called for a united front to resonate with the electorate and secure victory in the forthcoming governorship election on September 21, 2024.

Oshiomhole praised Okpebholo’s decision to select Dennis Idahosa as his running mate, citing it as a testament to wisdom and foresight. He expressed confidence in Okpebholo’s leadership abilities and emphasized the importance of support from all APC members to restore Edo State to a path of progressive governance and socioeconomic growth.
