Former Nigerian President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, has lauded Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, for his vibrant spirit and urged him to continue dancing while focusing on delivering essential infrastructure projects in the state. Speaking at the inauguration of a VIP lodge within the Osun State Government House premises in Osogbo, Obasanjo reminisced about a private conversation with Adeleke, where he advised him to maintain his joyful demeanor while diligently serving the people of the state.
Obasanjo affectionately declared himself Adeleke’s dancing partner, emphasizing that happiness is key to effective leadership. He commended the governor for his efforts to unite the Peoples Democratic Party in the state and urged him to implement initiatives that would positively impact residents. Obasanjo also stressed the importance of proper documentation of the governor’s achievements for posterity.
In his response, Governor Adeleke highlighted the completion of several major capital projects under his administration and ongoing efforts to advance his infrastructure agenda. He noted that the newly inaugurated VIP lodge would enhance cost efficiency in hosting dignitaries visiting the state, reflecting his commitment to prudent governance.
