Enugu State Governor Makes Key Appointments to University Governing Council and Agencies

Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, has announced significant appointments aimed at enhancing the governance and leadership of key institutions within the state. The appointments, which were made public on Tuesday through an official announcement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Chidiebere Onyia, include:

1. Chinyeka Ohaa: Appointed as the Chairman of the Enugu State University of Science and Technology Governing Council.
2. Prof. Ikenna Chukwu, Mr. James Ifeanyi, Gladys Okoro, Chinedu Onu, and Dr. Eric Oluedo: Named as members of the governing council.
3. Prof. Uchenna Ekwochi: Appointed as Provost of the College of Medicine, Enugu State University of Science and Technology.
4. Mr. Francis Aninwike: Chosen to lead the Enugu State Structure for Signage and Advertisement Agency as the General Manager.

The appointments were made based on the candidates’ merits, experiences, track records, and exceptional leadership qualities. The appointees are expected to leverage their expertise to reposition the respective institutions and agencies for the advancement and prosperity of the state.

In the announcement, it was emphasized that the newly appointed officials are expected to bring their years of experience and leadership acumen to bear in driving innovation and governance in line with the administration’s philosophy.
