EFCC Arrests 15 Suspected Internet Fraudsters in Zaria, Kaduna State

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has announced the arrest of fifteen suspected internet fraudsters in Zaria, Kaduna State. In a statement released on Thursday, the anti-graft agency revealed that the suspects were apprehended outside the premises of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, based on credible intelligence linking them to internet fraud activities.

Acting swiftly on the received intelligence, EFCC operatives conducted the operation, leading to the arrest of the suspects in the vicinity of the university. Among the items recovered from them were cell phones and laptops. The suspects have been transferred to the Kano Zonal Command of the EFCC for further investigation.

“The suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded,” the statement affirmed.
