Chief of Army Staff Urges Troops to Intensify Efforts in National Security Drive

The Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja, has called on troops across the nation to amplify their dedication in the ongoing battle against insecurity, encompassing terrorism, banditry, and oil theft, among other challenges.

In a statement marking the celebration of Eid-El-Fitr on Tuesday, Lagbaja acknowledged the unwavering commitment and sacrifices of the troops in safeguarding the nation against adversarial elements. He emphasized the crucial role of collaboration among security agencies and urged the troops to maintain relentless efforts in achieving sustainable peace, particularly in troubled regions.

Lagbaja reiterated the government’s commitment to prioritizing the welfare of the Armed Forces and their families, urging troops to reciprocate by redoubling their efforts in creating an environment conducive to peace and economic prosperity.

He affirmed his dedication to ensuring the welfare of the troops and emphasized the importance of maintaining a sanction and reward system to uphold discipline and motivation within the Nigerian Army.
