APC Receives Tinubu’s Blessing for Nationwide Electronic Membership Registration

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the endorsement of the nationwide electronic registration of its members by President Bola Tinubu. Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, the National Chairman of APC, made this disclosure during a meeting with 33 members of the APC state chairmen at the party’s headquarters in Abuja.

The visit from the APC state chairmen followed a call by the Forum of APC Chairmen urging President Tinubu to take decisive action against security agency heads found wanting in the fight against insecurity and banditry.

Ganduje expressed President Tinubu’s satisfaction with the performance of the state chairmen and underscored the importance of electronic registration to strengthen the party’s membership base ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He stated, “The president has granted your requests, especially on political appointments. He emphasized the importance of electronic registration, which we have been working on… Now, we are going to the grassroots level… It will be connected across all the wards of the federation.”

Nze Chidi Duru, the Deputy National Organising Secretary of the party, reiterated Ganduje’s remarks, emphasizing that two officials from each state would undergo training in Abuja to facilitate the recruitment process for the registration exercise.

Alphonsus Ogah, Secretary of the forum, commended both Tinubu and Ganduje for their leadership in stabilizing the party and the nation. He stressed the significance of updating the party membership register, acknowledging that the actual membership revealed during the 2023 elections differed from the previous estimates.

Ogah emphasized the need for transparency in membership figures and the importance of matching registered members with their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to accurately predict election outcomes.
