Speculation swirls around former Manchester United winger Wilfried Zaha as he ponders a potential return to the Premier League, just a year after departing for Galatasaray, with several English clubs expressing interest in securing his services.
Zaha’s departure from Crystal Palace last summer marked a significant career move as he embarked on a new chapter in Turkey with Galatasaray. However, recent reports from talkSPORT indicate that the 31-year-old is evaluating the prospect of a Premier League comeback, prompted by interest from clubs including West Ham and Aston Villa during the January transfer window.
Despite the allure of a return to English football, Zaha opted to remain in Turkey, hesitant to depart after only six months in the Turkish Super Lig. Nevertheless, as he approaches the one-year mark with Galatasaray, the possibility of a Premier League reunion gains traction.
Since his arrival at Galatasaray, Zaha has made a notable impact, featuring in 31 matches across all competitions, registering 10 goals and providing five assists. His contributions on the field have not gone unnoticed, with his performances catching the attention of clubs back in England.
It’s worth noting that Zaha’s decision to depart Crystal Palace last summer came amidst significant interest from his former club. The Eagles presented him with a substantial offer in an attempt to retain his services, which would have made him the highest-paid player at Selhurst Park. However, Zaha opted to explore new horizons as a free agent, ultimately landing in Turkey.
