Trump Accuses Biden of Siding with Hamas, Calls Stance “Disgraceful”

Former President Donald Trump criticized President Joe Biden on Thursday for his handling of the Israel-Gaza conflict, accusing him of siding with Hamas and labeling his stance “disgraceful.”

In a post on his Truth Social network, Trump lambasted Biden for threatening to halt weapons supplies to Israel if it pursued a ground offensive in Gaza. He accused Biden of aligning with “these terrorists,” referring to Hamas, and drew parallels with protests against the conflict on college campuses across the United States.

Speaking to reporters outside a courtroom in New York ahead of his hush money trial, Trump doubled down on his criticism of Biden, describing the president’s approach to Israel as abandonment.

“What Biden is doing with respect to Israel is disgraceful,” Trump remarked, further asserting that Biden had “totally abandoned Israel,” a key US ally in the Middle East.

Biden’s administration has faced pressure from within his own party to reconsider arms shipments to Israel amid the ongoing conflict. Last week, the president paused the delivery of certain munitions, including bombs, signaling a willingness to address concerns over civilian casualties in Gaza.

The Gaza conflict, sparked by Hamas’s attack on Israel in October, has resulted in a significant loss of life on both sides. Hamas’s assault prompted a swift and forceful response from Israel, leading to widespread casualties in Gaza, particularly among civilians.

Despite international calls for de-escalation and ceasefire efforts, the conflict has persisted, drawing condemnation from various quarters and intensifying the debate over US support for Israel.
