Travis Head’s Unbeaten 154 Leads Australia to Crushing Victory Over England

Australia claimed a dominant seven-wicket win over England in the first ODI at Trent Bridge, with opener Travis Head smashing a remarkable unbeaten 154 to guide the visitors to a successful chase of 315. Head’s knock, supported by Marnus Labuschagne’s 77*, helped Australia surpass the target with 36 balls to spare, taking a 1-0 lead in the series.

England’s innings collapsed after a strong start, crumbling from 213-2 to 315 all out. Ben Duckett’s 95 and Will Jacks’ 62 had set a solid platform, but Australia’s spinners—Labuschagne (3-39) and Adam Zampa (3-49)—triggered a late collapse.

Head’s innings, alongside Labuschagne, ensured Australia’s highest successful ODI chase in England. England will look to bounce back in the second match at Headingley.
