Nollywood actress and media personality, Toke Makinwa, at 39, reveals her eagerness to embrace motherhood in a heartfelt Instagram post shared on Sunday during the 2024 Mother’s Day celebration. The divorcee, who celebrated the occasion with her god-daughter, expressed confidence that the role of a mother is destined for her and anticipates its fulfillment in the near future.
“I cannot wait to be a Mother, I know it’s in the cards for me and it’ll happen soon. Till then I’ll celebrate my first ever Mother’s Day as your god-mother,” Toke Makinwa wrote, adding a personal touch to the celebration.
Recalling her past, the actress separated from her estranged husband, Maje Ayida, in 2015 after discovering his involvement with his ex-girlfriend. In 2023, she shared on her podcast that her decision to leave the marriage might have been different if she had a child with her ex-husband, adding a layer of complexity to her journey towards motherhood.
