Media personality Toke Makinwa has denied rumors circulating on social media that she got married to entertainment mogul Farouk Umar during her 40th birthday Thanksgiving party in Lagos.
Speculation arose after images and videos of Toke and Farouk, both dressed in all-white outfits, surfaced online, showing them in seemingly intimate moments. However, Toke swiftly dismissed the claims, clarifying that the two are simply close friends.
“On Obasanjo’s internet, they said I got married to this guy,” she stated. “Farouk, my friend, ore mi… this is my nigga and my friend, my brother, who wan marry you?”
Toke’s first marriage to fitness trainer Maje Ayida ended in 2017 after three years, amid allegations of infidelity.
