Nigerian singer Timaya has vehemently condemned vendors of counterfeit alcoholic beverages. The irate artist, who seemed to have fallen victim to such a scam, took to his X handle to vent his frustration, declaring, “It will never be well with people that sell fake alcohol. Amen.”
This outburst follows a similar incident involving singer BNXN, formerly known as Buju, who last December criticized a lounge for selling adulterated and fake alcoholic drinks at the same price as genuine ones. BNXN emphasized the need to respect customers’ health and money, warning that he would publicly expose any establishment repeating such deceitful practices.
The issue of fake alcoholic products remains a significant concern, as both artists stress the importance of consumer safety and fair trade.
