Three Suspects Arrested in Kwara Over Gruesome Murder and Robbery Incidents

The Kwara Police Command has apprehended three suspects in connection with separate incidents involving a gruesome murder and a robbery in the state capital, Ilorin.

In the first incident, the dismembered corpse of a tricycle operator, Musibau Aliu, was discovered in a yet-to-be-occupied building in the Oko-Olowo area. Aliu had been declared missing since last Friday, prompting a search by his family and colleagues. His body was found with his head, two wrists, private part, and buttocks severed. The police arrested three suspects identified as Abdullahi Ibrahim, Ismaila Ajirerin, and Adeola Adeosun, in connection with the crime.

Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the Kwara State Police Command, Toun Ejire-Adeyemi, stated that swift investigation led to the arrest of the suspects. She assured the public of the police’s commitment to ensuring justice for the victim.

In a separate incident, the command also arrested three suspects who allegedly robbed a farmer in the Oko-Erin area. The victim, who was attending to his traps in his farm, was robbed at gunpoint of his mobile phone. The police apprehended the suspects shortly after the incident and recovered a single-barrel gun believed to have been used during the robbery.

The arrested suspects in the robbery case were identified as John Ndubusi Nbakogu, Toheeb Suleiman, and Bolakale Quadir, also known as Adaka. They will be arraigned in court to face prosecution for their involvement in the crime.
