Tems Hails Justin Bieber as ‘One of the Purest Souls’ During Interview

Grammy-winning Nigerian artist Temilade Openiyi, widely known as Tems, has openly expressed her deep admiration for Canadian superstar Justin Bieber. During her recent appearance on *The Jennifer Hudson Show*, Tems praised Bieber’s character, calling him “one of the purest souls I have ever met.” She described him as both kind and highly supportive.

Tems shared details about her Coachella performance earlier this year, where both Wizkid and Justin Bieber joined her on stage. Recalling the event, she mentioned that Wizkid was already in town, and she invited him to join her for the set. “We asked if he minded coming on, and he was like, yeah, of course, I’m going to come out,” she explained.

On the day of the performance, Tems received a surprise message from Bieber, who offered to participate. “I got a text from Justin Bieber, he was like, ‘I’m around in case you want to bring me out,’” she recounted. Overwhelmed by his gesture, she emphasized, “Justin Bieber is one of the purest souls I have ever met, he’s so kind and such a supporter.”

As Bieber made his appearance, the crowd erupted. “The ground was shaking. Everybody was losing their minds. I was a bit startled. Justin, I love you!” Tems exclaimed.

Tems, Wizkid, and Justin Bieber previously collaborated on the remix of the global hit “Essence.
