Tekno Denies Receiving N1 Billion Royalties from Collaborative Song with Kizz Daniel

Nigerian singer Tekno, also known as Kelechi Austin Miles, has refuted claims circulating on social media that he received royalties worth N1 billion from his collaborative song with fellow artist Kizz Daniel, titled ‘Buga’.

The rumors stemmed from a blog post on Budget TV, alleging that Tekno had disclosed receiving significant revenues from Kizz Daniel, amounting to close to a billion Naira as royalties for the song.

According to the blog, Tekno supposedly stated, “Do y’all know Kizz Daniel sends me 50% of every revenue he generates from that song? After his Buga tour, he sent me close to a Billion Naira and I was already shocked enough by that move. He didn’t end just there. Every month I receive millions as my own share of the revenue generated by Buga on streaming platforms.”

However, Tekno took to his X handle to debunk the claims, branding the interview as “fake” and vehemently denying the allegations.

In his response, Tekno wrote, “Him money no reach. Anybody wey put out that fake interview, thunder fire your mama. #Talkingshit.”

With Tekno’s swift denial, the purported revelations about the royalties from ‘Buga’ have been refuted, clarifying the situation and dispelling the misinformation surrounding the song’s earnings.
