The annual NFL championship, known for its exorbitantly priced and meticulously planned commercials, served as the perfect platform for unveiling these cinematic treasures to tens of millions of viewers nationwide.

“Deadpool and Wolverine” stars Ryan Reynolds, reprising his role as the irreverent mercenary, and Hugh Jackman, returning as the iconic Wolverine. Their dynamic was showcased in a trailer that left fans eager for more. In a humorous nod to the characters’ comic book histories, Reynolds quipped, “Your little cinematic universe is about to change forever. I’m the Messiah, I am Marvel Jesus,” hinting at the epic showdowns and character arcs to come.

The film, directed by Shawn Levy, is also rumored to feature Sir Patrick Stewart as Professor X, alongside Emma Corrin and Matthew Macfadyen in pivotal roles. With its premiere set for July 26 in the US, “Deadpool and Wolverine” promises to be a landmark addition to the Marvel film universe.

On the other side of the fantasy spectrum, “Wicked,” directed by Jon M Chu, offers a musical adventure set in the land of Oz. Starring Ariana Grande as Glinda and Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West, the film explores the backstory of these iconic characters before Dorothy’s arrival. The cast is further bolstered by Michelle Yeoh, Jonathan Bailey, and Jeff Goldblum, making it one of the most anticipated adaptations of the year. UK audiences can look forward to its release on November 28.
