Stuttgart Stun 10-Man Juventus with Stoppage-Time Winner

Stuttgart secured their first win of the Champions League league phase with a dramatic stoppage-time goal, defeating 10-man Juventus 1-0. Substitute El Bilal Toure delivered the decisive blow in the second added minute, deftly controlling the ball around a defender before slotting it home to end Juventus’ perfect start in the competition.

Despite the late winner, Stuttgart’s victory was well-earned. They had earlier seen a Deniz Undav goal controversially disallowed for handball in the build-up. The visitors were also awarded an 85th-minute penalty when Juventus captain Danilo caught Anthony Rouault with a high boot, earning his second yellow card and reducing his side to 10 men.

Juventus goalkeeper Mattia Perin kept his team in the game with a brilliant save, diving to his right to stop Enzo Millot’s penalty. However, Stuttgart’s persistence paid off in the dying moments, leaving Juventus ruing a subpar performance.

Stuttgart now have four points from three matches, while Juventus’ hopes of extending their winning start were dashed. Stuttgart will face Atalanta next on November 6, while Juventus take on Lille a day earlier.
