Online streaming giant Spotify has marked the 10th anniversary of Wizkid’s hit single “Ojuelegba,” celebrating its influence on the global rise of Afrobeats. In a statement by Phiona Okumu, Spotify’s Head of Music for Sub-Saharan Africa, the platform revealed that the song has amassed over 55 million streams since its 2014 release.

She noted that the song’s popularity extends across major markets, with the United States, United Kingdom, Netherlands, France, and Nigeria leading in streams. Okumu emphasized that “Ojuelegba’s journey reflects the global growth of Afrobeats and its increasing presence on the world stage.”
