About 400 students hailing from various communities within the Odo-Otin Local Government Area have received complimentary registration forms for the forthcoming Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) courtesy of the Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Mr. Adewale Egbedun.
The distribution of the registration forms took place during a gathering held in Okuku, Osun State, where the Speaker’s representative, Press Secretary Olamide Tiamiyu, conveyed the directives and encouragement from the Speaker to the beneficiaries.
Addressing the students, Tiamiyu reiterated the Speaker’s call for diligence in exam preparation, emphasizing the importance of striving for excellence. He assured the students that the Speaker is committed to extending further assistance to those who excel in the UTME, facilitating their admission into their preferred tertiary institutions.
Tiamiyu emphasized, “The Speaker, Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun, is officially presenting the UTME registration e-pin to 400 students. This is part of the initiative of the Adewale Egbedun Educational Fund. It is not only going to provide this intervention alone. Others will follow. We urge the beneficiaries to prepare well for the examinations.”
Furthermore, Tiamiyu outlined the Speaker’s plan to offer scholarships to outstanding students among the beneficiaries, highlighting the Speaker’s dedication to supporting educational endeavors within the state.
Expressing gratitude, Tiamiyu acknowledged the collaboration of local government chairmen in Odo Otin and Local Council Development Areas for their unwavering support towards the educational fund, particularly their involvement in providing preparatory classes for the students.
