Southampton have finalized pre-contract agreements with Brazilian players Welington and Juan, who will join the club when their contracts with São Paulo expire in January.
Welington, a 23-year-old left-back, has made 150 appearances for São Paulo and played a key role in their victories in the 2023 Copa do Brasil and the 2024 Supercopa do Brasil. He has also represented Brazil at the under-23 level.
Forward Juan, 22, has scored eight goals in 80 appearances for São Paulo and has featured for Brazil’s under-19s.
Southampton, newly promoted to the Premier League through the play-offs, will start their campaign with an away match against Newcastle on August 17.
