Famous American rapper Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., popularly known as Snoop Dogg, will carry the Paris Olympic flame in the final stretch ahead of the opening ceremony.
The opening ceremony will take place on Friday, July 26, 2024, featuring over 10,000 athletes on boats on the Seine River. Prior to the ceremony, Snoop Dogg will carry the torch through the Paris suburb of Saint-Denis, as confirmed by the town’s mayor, Mathieu Hanotin, on his official X account.
Hanotin wrote, “Saint Denis: last step before the Eiffel Tower. An international cast @SnoopDogg for the last stretch of the Olympic Flame.”
Other notable torch carriers include French rapper MC Solaar and French actress Laetitia Casta.
