Simi Reveals Adekunle Gold Gave Idea for Controversial Song “Men Are Crazy”

In a recent revelation, popular singer Simisola Kosoko, known as Simi, has disclosed that her husband, Adekunle Gold, played a significant role in inspiring her controversial song “Men Are Crazy.”

During an appearance on Angela Yee’s podcast, “Way Up,” Simi shared insights into the creation of her latest track, which features Tiwa Savage and has stirred mixed reactions from listeners, particularly male social media users.

Simi explained that the idea for the song originated from a conversation with her husband, Adekunle Gold, who suggested exploring the theme of acknowledging men’s complexities while still desiring their presence. She recounted, “My husband gave me the idea for my song, ‘Men Are Crazy.’ He was like, ‘Babe, how about we do a song and you say men are crazy but I still want one in my bed?'”

Initially, Simi had completed two verses for the song but felt something was missing. It was then that she decided to collaborate with Tiwa Savage to bring a balance and synergy to the track. Expressing her admiration for Tiwa’s artistry, Simi reached out to her, and together they recorded the song and filmed the accompanying music video.

The song’s bold and provocative lyrics, coupled with its catchy melody, have sparked conversations and debates about gender dynamics and relationships. Despite the controversial nature of the song, Simi’s collaboration with Tiwa Savage has been praised for its artistic innovation and willingness to address unconventional topics.
