Afrobeat singer Seun Kuti has launched a scathing critique against American music star DJ Khaled for his silence regarding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Despite being of Palestinian descent, Kuti accuses the ‘We The Best Music’ boss of remaining conspicuously quiet amid the ongoing violence and oppression faced by his people.
In a video message shared on his Instagram account, Kuti condemned DJ Khaled for prioritizing material possessions and flaunting his lavish lifestyle on social media while neglecting to use his platform to address the humanitarian crisis unfolding in Palestine. Kuti expressed dismay that DJ Khaled, who hails from Palestine, has not uttered a single word in solidarity with his fellow Palestinians, particularly in light of the atrocities committed against women and children in the region.
