Samuel Ajibola’s Bold Move: Quitting ‘The Johnsons’ to Pursue Dreams as a Producer and Director

 

Nigerian actor Samuel Ajibola, renowned for his role as Spiff in the popular soap opera ‘The Johnsons,’ recently revealed the reasons behind his departure from the long-running series. The thespian disclosed that his decision to leave the show was driven by a desire to chase his dreams and establish himself as a producer and director.

In an interview with Channels TV, Ajibola explained, “I spent nine years at ‘The Johnsons,’ investing into someone else’s dream. Even before leaving, I had already started running DAILY Issues, which is my comedy skits. I started in 2016.” The actor had been simultaneously working on his own projects while contributing to the success of ‘The Johnsons.’

Ajibola’s departure from the soap opera marked a pivotal moment in his career, allowing him to take the bold step of leaving his comfort zone. He emphasized his adventurous and risk-taking nature, stating that he was well aware of the risks associated with the decision. However, he listened to his instincts, and to date, he has no regrets about making the move.
