Sabalenka’s Unstoppable Run Continues as She Reaches China Open Quarter-Finals

Aryna Sabalenka extended her dominance on the court, securing a 15th consecutive victory with a straight-sets triumph over Madison Keys at the China Open. The world number two dispatched Keys in just 65 minutes, winning 6-4, 6-3 to reach the tournament’s quarter-finals.

Sabalenka, the top seed in Beijing, continues her extraordinary 2024 campaign, having secured 46 wins out of 57 matches this year. Her last loss came on August 10 in the quarter-finals of the Canadian Open. Since then, she has claimed major titles, including victories at the Cincinnati Open and the US Open, making her a formidable force on the women’s tour.

The 26-year-old now faces either Karolina Muchova or Cristina Bucsa in the next round, with the potential to close the gap on world number one Iga Swiatek, who withdrew from the China Open due to personal reasons.
