Ruger Expresses Regret Over Past Body-Shaming Incident with BNXN

Singer Michael Adebayo Olayinka, popularly known as Ruger, has openly expressed regret for body-shaming his colleague, BNXN, formerly known as Buju, during their social media feud in 2022.

In a recent appearance on the Bahd And Boujee Podcast hosted by reality star Tolanibaj and actress Moet Abebe, Ruger candidly admitted his remorse over the incident, acknowledging the hurtful nature of his actions. “I feel bad that I body shamed BNXN (Buju), I regret it,” Ruger stated during the podcast episode.

The revelation comes after Ruger and BNXN engaged in a public dispute on social media platforms, which included exchanges of derogatory remarks. However, Ruger’s admission of regret signifies a significant step towards reconciliation between the two artists.

Following Ruger’s departure from his former record label, D’Prince’s Jonzing World, and the subsequent launch of his own imprint, Blown Boy Entertainment, tensions between Ruger and BNXN have gradually subsided. The recent release of their collaborative song titled ‘Romeo Must Die’ further indicates a newfound camaraderie between the once-feuding artists.
