Nigerian musician Paul Okoye, better known as Rudeboy of the P-Square duo, has reiterated his decision to permanently split from his twin brother, Peter Okoye. The longstanding feud between the brothers came to light after Paul accused Peter of petitioning the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to have him arrested.
During an Instagram live session on Wednesday, Paul expressed his frustration, claiming that he carried most of the workload while others reaped the benefits. Speaking in pidgin, he stated, “Those days of monkey dey work, baboon dey chop, I no dey do again. So I would rather continue working for myself. Every time, only me dey sing all the songs. I no dey do again.”
The singer also hinted that the rift between him and his brother is more complex than the public perceives. P-Square, once one of Africa’s most iconic music duos, initially split in 2017 before reuniting in November 2021.
