Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy of the defunct Psquare duo, has entered the fray surrounding the ongoing rift between veteran singer Eedris Abdulkareem and Burna Boy.
In a bold move, Rudeboy took to social media to address what he perceives as Eedris’ pattern of disrespect towards fellow artists, including himself and his brother, Peter Okoye (Mr. P), collectively known as Psquare.
Rudeboy accused Eedris of repeatedly engaging in derogatory behavior towards various artists, citing instances where he allegedly insulted Psquare, 2Face Idibia, Timaya, D’banj, and now Burna Boy.
The crux of Rudeboy’s argument stems from an incident dating back 20 years involving a 50 Cent show, where he claims Eedris betrayed his fellow artists by accepting meager compensation behind their backs after they had collectively negotiated more lucrative performance fees.
Expressing his frustration with Eedris’ behavior, Rudeboy condemned what he perceives as an “entitlement mentality” from the veteran singer. He emphasized that he had remained silent about the incident for over two decades but felt compelled to speak out now due to Eedris’ continued disparagement of other artists.
In his Instagram story post, Rudeboy admonished Eedris for his alleged hypocrisy, pointing out that despite claiming to have fought for the Nigerian music industry, he had undermined the unity and solidarity among artists by his actions.
