Nigerian rapper Remilekun Abdulkhalid Safaru, widely known as Reminisce, has compared fame to a powerful and addictive drug, warning of its intoxicating nature.
Speaking in a recent interview with Naija FM, Lagos, the ‘Alaga Ibile’ hitmaker described fame as “a hard drug,” adding, “It’s very intoxicating.”
Discussing how he manages his fame, Reminisce explained that he maintains a mindset where he considers no one a friend. “I see people as colleagues and not friends,” he said, noting that this approach helps him manage expectations and avoid disappointment.
