Reijnders Brace Helps Milan Overcome 10-Man Club Brugge

Tijjani Reijnders scored two excellent second-half goals as AC Milan overcame a strong start from Club Brugge to secure a crucial 3-1 victory in the Champions League.

Club Brugge impressed early on, with Christos Tzolis nearly giving them the lead, only to be denied by a superb save from Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan. Milan, needing a win after defeats to Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen, took the lead when Christian Pulisic’s inswinging corner found the net directly.

The game took a major turn when Raphael Onyedika was sent off for a high challenge on Reijnders following a VAR review, leaving Brugge down to 10 men. Despite the setback, Brugge equalized with a well-worked goal from 19-year-old Kyriani Sabbe, making him one of the youngest players to score against Milan in the Champions League.

Milan manager Paulo Fonseca’s decision to substitute Rafael Leao was met with boos, but his replacement Noah Okafor quickly made an impact. Okafor set up Reijnders for Milan’s second goal, and Reijnders later added a third, converting a cross from Samuel Chukwueze.

Late in the match, 16-year-old Francesco Camarda came on to become the youngest Italian player to appear in the Champions League.
