Real Madrid Manager Ancelotti Acknowledges Modric’s Discomfort With Bench Role

Real Madrid’s head coach, Carlo Ancelotti, has shed light on Luka Modric’s sentiments regarding his absence from the squad, stating that the Croatian midfielder does not relish being left out.

Modric, whose contract with the club expires this summer, is anticipated to depart from the Bernabeu. Despite facing the prospect of leaving, Modric opted to remain with the team last year, declining an opportunity to join a Saudi Arabian club in favor of fighting for his place under Ancelotti’s leadership.

While Modric’s playing time has been limited, Ancelotti has praised the midfielder’s professionalism, emphasizing his unwavering dedication. Ancelotti remarked, “Luka Modrić will never accept to be a bench player, I know him well. He never stops to train, to fight… he always has the same excitement and will to fight and play. He will never accept that.”

Ancelotti’s acknowledgment underscores Modric’s commitment to the game and his reluctance to settle for a peripheral role within the team. As the situation unfolds, Modric’s determination serves as a testament to his character and enduring passion for the sport.
