Real Madrid Clinch Victory Over Granada

In a commanding display, Real Madrid secured a comprehensive win against Granada with goals from Fran Garcia, Arda Guler, and a brace from Brahim Diaz.

The first half saw few clear-cut opportunities, but Real Madrid broke the deadlock just before halftime. Young full-back Fran Garcia capitalized on a low cross to score his maiden goal for the club, giving Real Madrid the lead after 40 minutes.

In stoppage time of the first half, another young talent, Arda Guler, extended Real Madrid’s advantage. Garcia turned provider, setting up Guler to slot the ball into the bottom corner from the penalty spot.

Real Madrid continued their dominance into the second half, with Brahim Diaz getting on the scoresheet just four minutes after the restart. Diaz intercepted a loose pass near the halfway line before embarking on a solo run and unleashing a shot from the edge of the box to make it 3-0.

Diaz wasn’t finished yet, adding his second goal of the match nine minutes later. This time, he finished off a sweeping passing move with a composed low finish.

Despite both teams creating chances in the remaining half-hour, neither could find the back of the net again.

Granada’s fate was sealed earlier in the day as relegation rivals Mallorca secured a 1-0 win over Las Palmas, confirming Granada’s demotion to the second tier.

Real Madrid’s victory also marked a milestone in their season, extending their unbeaten league run to 29 matches. This surpasses the previous club record of 28 matches set during the 1989/90 season under the management of John Toshack.
