Real Madrid and Bayern Munich Draw in Champions League Semi-final First Leg

Vinicius Junior shone for Real Madrid as they secured a draw in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final clash against Bayern Munich. The Brazilian forward capitalized on two errors from Bayern defender Kim Min-jae to score twice, while England captain Harry Kane also found the net for Bayern.

Vinicius opened the scoring by exploiting a defensive mistake from Kim Min-jae, before converting a penalty awarded after the South Korean fouled Rodrygo in the box. Kane leveled the score with a penalty of his own early in the second half, following a foul on Jamal Musiala by Lucas Vazquez. Leroy Sane then struck a powerful shot to equalize for Bayern.

Despite Bayern’s early dominance, Real took the lead against the run of play, showcasing their efficiency in front of goal. However, Bayern quickly turned the game around in a four-minute period in the second half, regaining momentum and putting Real under pressure.

A late mistake from Kim Min-jae, who fouled Rodrygo in the box, allowed Real back into the game, ensuring they return to the Bernabeu Stadium with home advantage in the second leg.

With both teams eyeing Champions League glory, the tie remains evenly poised, especially after defending champions Manchester City were knocked out in the quarter-finals. Bayern, under pressure after losing their Bundesliga title streak, will look to bounce back, while Real will aim to capitalize on their home advantage in the return leg.
