Prophet Jeremiah Denies Using NAFDAC’s Name to Deceive Public

Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin, the Senior Prophet of Christ MercyLand Ministry, has refuted claims that his ministry used the name of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) to mislead Nigerians. In a statement released by his church’s media arm, Fufeyin clarified that reports alleging the use of NAFDAC’s name in connection with the sale of spiritual items were untrue.

The statement addressed a recent media report, which alleged that NAFDAC was investigating the church’s use of miracle water and soap. Fufeyin, through the church’s media outfit, emphasized that Christ MercyLand Deliverance Ministry adheres to the law and operates within the confines of Nigeria’s constitution, particularly the sections that protect religious freedom.

“We have been using certain spiritual items in expression of our religious beliefs,” the statement read, adding that the ministry never sold consumable products under NAFDAC’s authority. The church maintained that it had never deceived the public or used the regulatory agency’s name for fraudulent purposes.

The ministry also addressed the specific complaints allegedly lodged with NAFDAC. The statement disclosed that the only known complaint was made by an individual named Martins Vincent Otse, whom the church had already sued for various allegations. The church accused Otse of forging receipts to support his complaint against them.

The ministry revealed that it had been invited by NAFDAC’s Asaba office to discuss the matter, but clarified that the timeline provided for their appearance was unrealistic. They also noted that they had responded promptly to NAFDAC, providing evidence to counter the claims, including pointing out discrepancies in the receipts submitted by the complainant.

While the church is cooperating with ongoing investigations, it reiterated that NAFDAC has not yet provided feedback on the issues raised.
