President Bola Tinubu has greenlit the appointment of Deputy Comptroller-General (DCG) Kemi Nanna Nandap as the upcoming Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), starting March 1, 2024.
DCG Nandap will succeed Mrs. Caroline Wura-Ola Adepoju, whose tenure concludes on February 29, 2024.
Prior to her new role, Nandap held the position of Deputy Comptroller-General overseeing the Migration Directorate within the Service.
According to a statement released by presidential spokesman Chief Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu envisions Nandap’s leadership to fortify the ongoing reforms within the service. He anticipates the establishment of a robust framework for proficient and dedicated service provision to Nigerians. Moreover, the President aims for enhanced national security through proactive and efficient border control and migration management.
