President Bola Tinubu has extended warm congratulations to Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi (Kusenla III) on the occasion of his 48th birthday, expressing admiration for the monarch’s steadfast leadership and commitment to the welfare of his people.
In a statement released by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu joined members of the Elegushi family, friends, well-wishers, and the Ikate kingdom community in celebrating Oba Elegushi’s milestone birthday. The statement, titled “President Tinubu celebrates Oba Elegushi on birthday,” conveyed heartfelt wishes for the monarch’s continued good health and purposeful leadership on the throne.
Born on April 10, 1976, Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi is the 21st Elegushi of the Ikate-Elegushi Kingdom, hailing from the esteemed Kusenla Ruling House of Ikateland in Lagos State. Following in the footsteps of his father, the late Oba Yekini Adeniyi Elegushi, Oba Elegushi ascended the throne in 2010, receiving the staff of office from the Lagos State Government on April 27 of the same year.
President Tinubu lauded Oba Elegushi’s exemplary dedication to his people’s welfare since assuming leadership, highlighting his constructive relationships across the country as instrumental in fostering support for government initiatives. Notably, Oba Elegushi’s prior service as Personal Assistant to President Tinubu during his tenure as Lagos State Governor and Senior Special Assistant to his successor, Babatunde Fashola, attests to his longstanding commitment to public service and governance.
