President Bola Tinubu has issued a heartfelt appeal to Nigerians, urging them to maintain hope and patriotism as his administration strives to fulfill its Renewed Hope Agenda, aimed at enhancing the nation’s prosperity and integrity.
Addressing journalists after joining Muslim faithful for Eid-el-Fitr prayers at the Dodan Barracks in Lagos, President Tinubu emphasized the importance of hope in galvanizing support for his government’s initiatives. He underscored the vitality of the Renewed Hope Agenda, affirming its resilience and promising its continued implementation for the betterment of all Nigerians.
In a statement by Special Adviser Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu urged citizens to uphold patriotism and extend the values of sacrifice and resilience beyond the Ramadan fasting period. Emphasizing the significance of love for country, he encouraged Nigerians to prioritize the preservation of Nigeria’s integrity and the exhibition of kindness and generosity towards one another.
President Tinubu’s call for hope and patriotism resonated throughout the Eid celebrations, as he reiterated the indispensable role of these virtues in driving national development and fostering a cohesive society. His words echoed the sentiments of Chief Imam Sheikh Sulaiman Abou-Nolla, who urged Nigerians to embrace peace, reject violence, and uphold faith in the country’s future.
Furthermore, Sheikh Abou-Nolla called upon leaders to fulfill their obligations to the people, alleviate the suffering of the less privileged, and extend solidarity to those affected by conflicts, such as the ongoing crisis in Gaza.
