Postecoglou Highlights Fragility at Tottenham Hotspur

Following Tottenham Hotspur’s 2-0 defeat by Manchester City, which dashed their hopes of Champions League football, manager Ange Postecoglou expressed concern over the club’s fragile foundations.

Postecoglou, reflecting on the loss, emphasized the precarious state of affairs both within and outside the club. “The foundations are really fragile,” he remarked, noting his observations in the wake of the match. “It’s inside the club, outside the club. Outside, inside, everywhere.”

The Australian manager found himself perplexed by the sentiments of some Spurs fans, who appeared content with losing to City to potentially hamper Arsenal’s title chances. Despite the team’s efforts against City, including a notable chant directed at Arsenal during the match, Postecoglou acknowledged the subdued atmosphere at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and its potential impact on the players.

While addressing the post-match interviews and interactions with supporters, Postecoglou remained resolute in his focus on achieving success for the club. “I just want to win,” he asserted. “What other people, how they want to feel, and what their priorities are, are of zero interest to me.”
